As an architectural intern at BRW Architects and a native of the Rio Grande Valley, Arely brings a unique perspective on the importance of diversity and cultural representation in the industry. She is passionate about NOMA’s mission to uplift minority architects and foster inclusive design, and she truly enjoys being involved and building connections with other like-minded individuals.

Her professional experience, along with her entrepreneurial background as the owner of Arely’s Cakes, has honed her skills in community engagement, resource management, and strategic planning. She is especially enthusiastic about promoting initiatives that encourage underrepresented students to pursue architecture and supporting emerging professionals within Houston’s diverse communities.
